The term “powder eyebrows” refers to a semi-permanent tattoo technique that creates a soft, powdered effect, mimicking the look of eyebrow makeup- such as powder or pencil, which is ideal for those who regularly fill in their eyebrows. A soft “background color” is added to the brows that heals looking subtle and powdery. For the most natural looking results, the color softly diffuses at the head of each brow: they are never harshly squared off. Powder brows are proven to last longer and work better on all skin types than other techniques, and can be done as soft and natural, or as crisp and bold as the client wishes. It’s also the best option for coverups and corrections (more on this below!).

Maintenance? Powder brows can last anywhere from 2-5 years depending on factors like skin type, aftercare and lifestyle. A touch-up session is typically recommended in between those years to add more definition and maintain the color vibrancy.

Anytime we are working over old tattoo that was previously done by another artist, it is considered a coverup/correction. This treatment is ideal for those whose previous permanent makeup has faded or changed to an unwanted color (such as red, blue, or purple) and who want to improve or reshape their brows without needing laser or saline removal. In most cases, additional time is needed to color-correct the old tattoo or achieve even saturation throughout the new shape. For this reason, coverups and corrections are best done gradually: An initial session, a 6-week touchup, and in some cases, another 6-week touchup is needed to finalize the results.

However, corrective work is not always an option. Each person’s situation is unique, and each correction case should be assessed individually. She’ll also discuss all available color and style options and advise on the perfect design options to compliment your facial features.
